Margie A. Moore, 79, of Galion passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Ohio State University East Hospital in Columbus.

 

She was born February 18, 1941 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and was the daughter of Lester and Bertha Councel.

 

Margie was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed NASCAR, with Rusty Wallace being her favorite driver, football and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Margie is survived by her three sons, Howard E. (Vickie Barler) Harsh, II of Galion, Lester L. (Christine) Harsh of Crestline and Terry A. (Lori Gekler) Harsh of Galion; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Betty Jane Jones of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and her dog, Blackie.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Ophia Frazier; two brothers, John and LM Councel; father of her children Howard E. “Butch” Harsh and husbands Chester Ratcliff and Russell Moore.

 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 29 at Iberia Cemetery, Iberia with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
