Margaret A. “Parky” Thomas, age 94 of Upper Sandusky and Marseilles died Aug. 31, 2023 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 28, 1928 to the late Victor J. & Pearl O. (Humes) Hoerr.
She married John E. Thomas and he passed in 1980. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her children Cheryl Rhoades, Marseilles, Carla James, Marseilles, Chad Thomas, Upper Sandusky, son in law James Mathews, grandchildren Jim (Misty) Mathews, Rhonda (Anthony) Robinson, John Mathews, Levi Thomas, Megan (Lucas) Rowe, Jessica (Jeremy) Lederer, Lucas James, Tabitha Thomas, Lynn Baker, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by children Carolyn Mathews and Carl Thomas, grandson Benjamin James, brothers Leonard and Ralph Hare, and sisters Neva Taylor and June Biglin.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of Marseilles Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, and was an Elder and Trustee. She was a cook at the Wyandot Manor, and a homemaker. Parky was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed bowling, softball, and spending time with Jean Johnson and Betty Leeth.
A graveside service will be held Tue. Sept. 5, 2023 at 12:00PM in Chandler Cemetery with Rev. Rex Roth officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM – 11:30AM Tue. Sept. 5, 2023 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Marseilles Presbyterian Church in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 East Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
