To know Pete was an honor. He didn’t know a stranger, would give the shirt off his back to anyone, and had an innate ability to put anyone at ease. Pete had an amazing laugh, a great sense of humor that saw him through many hardships in his life.
Pete was a devoted husband. He was a loving father. He was an ardent patriot that was proud of his children’s military service. Pete was the father and uncle who would get kicked out of sporting events cheering you on, and being very vocal while correcting the refs. He loved his children, nieces, and nephews. However, his greatest joy was his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of life is being planned and details will be coordinated with his family and friends due to the geographical separation of his loved ones. In lieu of flowers, his family has asked that donations be made in his honor to JDRF – Type 1 Diabetes Research, Funding, and Advocacy.
