Luther “Ed” Scruggs III, age 77, formerly of Bucyrus, OH went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2024, in Stuart, FL surrounded by his wife and children.
Ed was the first born to Luther and Vivian Scruggs on Nov. 27, 1946. He married Sally (Seyler) Scruggs on July 27, 1966 and recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Ed is survived by children Stacy (Ty) Bowers, Ed (Karri) Scruggs, Jason (Katie) Scruggs, Ashley (Matthew) Slate, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by great granddaughter, Quinn Pullano.
Ed proudly served his county in the U.S. Army 1st Calvary division from 1966-1969 during which he was stationed in Vietnam. He then served in the National Guard for many years.
Ed would want you to remember him for his love of Christ, love of family and love for others.
