Luanne M. Wilcox, 67, of Galion passed away unexpectedly, Friday, February 12, 2021, at her residence.
Born October 6, 1953, in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Crase and Helen M. (Fagan) Crase of Galion. She married Lawrence Wilcox on March 11, 2004, and he preceded her on December 28, 2012.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1972 and formerly a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Lebanon, Tennessee. Luanne was an executive secretary at Galion Dresser later working in telecommunications at ITT and then Sprint/Nextel. She was a member and volunteer at Galion Community Center YMCA. Luanne enjoyed reading, golfing, gambling, water aerobics, and spin class. She especially loved to spend time with her great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by brother Dan (Stephanie) Crase of Raleigh, North Carolina; sister Carol (Kevin) Jones of Galion; nieces and nephews Melanie (Gavin) Parsons of Raleigh, North Carolina, Matthew Crase of Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina, Carrie (Andrew) Rogers of Tucson, Arizona, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Sipes of Canal Winchester and Kori (Josh) Gillam of Galion and 14 great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Thomas Crase.
Calling hours for friends and family will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833.
