Lorri L. Anthony, 65, of Galion passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Avita Galion Hospital.

Born March 15, 1958 in Delaware, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ellis Jr. and Phyllis Jean (Moodespaugh) Compton. She married Les Anthony on November 17, 1988 and they enjoyed 34 years together.

She was a member of First Nazarene / Real Life Church in Galion and occasionally attended St. Paul United Methodist in Galion. Lorri worked in medical billing and coding for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, was a cashier at Galion Geyers and the Bell Store and was secretary at First Nazarene Church in Galion for several years. She was a member of Galion Women of the Moose Chapter 117 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 376 in Delaware, Ohio. Lorri especially loved to help others and also loved to shop.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Vernice (Charles) Mick of Galion, Vonnie (Freddie) Cline of Mt. Gilead, Thomas (Karen) Anthony of Mishawaka, Indiana and Heather (Jason) Embry of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Erica, Michael, Justin, Jamie, Racheal, Asia, Riley and Matthias; great-grandchildren, Calli, Allison, David, Nicholas, Lilly, Sara, Kaylee and Axle; brother Scott (Nancy) Compton of Hyde Park, New York, niece Rosemary Compton; nephews, Christian Compton and Zach (Erin) Hall and her beloved dog, Sassy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Lisa Hall and Terry Lynn Compton.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Additional calling hours will be held at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24 prior to services at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
