Loretta A. Brooks, 89 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at home. Loretta was born April 7, 1932, in Bucyrus to the late Jacob and Matilda (Haala) Howard. She was married on September 3, 1948, to C. Raymond Brooks who preceded her in death on January 6, 1989. She was also preceded in death by brother Bill Howard; sisters Anna Oberlander and Helen Clary; granddaughter Kelly Brooks; and daughter-in-law Betty Brooks.
Loretta is survived by sons Don Brooks, Mike Brooks, and Jerry (Elizabeth) Brooks all of Bucyrus; 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren
Loretta lived her entire life in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School. She worked for the Mt. Zion and Wynford School District for 28 years and retired in 1992.
Private Services will be held for the family with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Avita Home Health and Hospice. The Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
