Lola Irene Breece, 67, of Galion, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday, January 12, 2018 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
She was born on December 3, 1950 in Galion, Ohio to the late Elza and Edith Riley.
Lola was a 1969 graduate of Northmor High School. On August, 14, 1971, she married Phillip A. Breece. He was the love of her life. They spent many happy years together. She and Phil were avid vacationers and enjoyed seeing the sights.
Lola is survived by her husband, Phillip A. Breece of Galion; children, Glori Johnson of Mansfield and Lisa (Snapper) VanHouten of Galion; grandchildren, Raven VanHouten, Zackary Willis and Zander Hooper.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Loretta Garrison; and brother, Roger Riley.
Lola enjoyed going to the movies, playing games, and cards, putting together puzzles, looking at the hot air balloons, cooking, helping with parties, listening and spending time with family and friends.
Lola was a very special family member and friend of too many to name. She was a pillar of wisdom for all who met her. Of all the words spoken “She was like a second mom to me” was spoken often. This describes the way Lola was and always will be to many. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Love you to infinity and back.
Friends may call Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. A celebration of life will follow Thursday at 7:30pm at the funeral home.
