Linda C. Trosper, 78, of Galion passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Altercare of Bucyrus.
Born May 1, 1944 in Harlan, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Hope (David) Evans. Linda married Carl Trosper on December 26, 1971 and he preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage on August 7, 2022.
Linda was mostly a homemaker but had worked as a receptionist at an eye doctors office. She was very active in her children’s lives, whether being a member of the Galion Athletic Booster Club, former Girl Scout Leader, serving as a PTA President for a couple of years at the former Wilma Crall Elementary School in Galion or working the concessions stands for their sporting events, Linda did it all. Linda enjoyed crocheting and cross stitch and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes Football team and the Kentucky Wildcat Basketball team. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren who called her “Mom Mom.”
Linda is survived by two children, Allen (Dawn) Trosper of Shelby and Crystal (Tommy) Payton of Mansfield; three grandchildren, LCPL Justin Schneider, U.S. Marine Corps, Danielle Schneider and Jacob (Faith) Payton; two sisters, Trula (Ted) Martin and Marsha Broughton and two brothers, Eddie (Judy) Evans, Jr. and David (Mary) Evans all of Corbin, Kentucky brother-in-law, Julian (Shirley) Trosper of London, KY; sister-in-law, Penny (Bruce) Ayer of Bangor, Maine.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Eli Scott Trosper, brother-in-law, Paul Broughton and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Julian and Lou (Pennington) Trosper.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Brad Gentille and Pastor Jeff Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
