Lester Castle, 76, Galion, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Ohio Health Mansfield, Mansfield, OH after a long illness.
Lester was born in South Webster, Ohio on February 26, 1941 to the late Arlie Castle and Estelene (Donaldson) Diamond. He married Judy G. Walters on October 20, 1962 and she preceded him in death on July 11, 2011.
Lester was of the Apostolic faith. Lester worked in the factory at MTD and retired in 2002 and had also worked at Perfection Colby. Lester’s greatest love was his grandchildren. Lester would like to be remembered for doing the best he could by his family and God blessed him with 76 years.
He is survived by his beloved children, daughter, Leslie (Butch) Spade of Galion; two sons, Tim A. Castle and Rick L. Castle; brother, Alfred (Alveda) Castle of Galion; one sister, Sharon (John) Schaffranek of Galion; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Castle; four brothers, Ralph Castle, Raymond L. Castle, Chester Castle, Arlie Joe Castle, Jr.; and two sisters, Phyllis J. Williams and Myrtle L. Schwab.
Friends may call from 11:00am – 1:00pm Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
