Leona D. Minor, age 74, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 6:15 am at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky.
Leona was born on January 5, 1947, in Fairmont, West Virginia to Earl and Edna (Radcliff) Forman, both of whom are deceased along with her step-mother, Doloris Forman. She married Michael J. Minor on May 23, 1998, in Nevada, Ohio, and he survives.
She is survived by her 2 children, Timothy (Shannon) Ray of Upper Sandusky, and Annette (Matt) Grafmiller of Upper Sandusky. 2 step-children, John Minor of Tiffin and Jessica Minor of Fremont. 4 grandchildren, Chase (Kaylee) Ray, Codie Ray, and Bailey Ray, and Abby Grafmiller, along with 2 great-grandchildren, Adrianna and Havana Ray.
Leona is also survived by a brother, Dave (Cheryl) Forman of Cambridge, Ohio, and Pam Ferst of Carey, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Oscar “Sonny” Forman, and 2 sisters, Marguerite Craft and Alice Durron.
Leona was a homemaker and had worked for over 30 years at the former Millington/Blackhawk Industries in Upper Sandusky.
She was a long-time member of the Apostolic Gospel Church in Upper Sandusky where she for many years was the pianist in the church. She also was a member of the 55 years and older, “Gold Nuggets Group” within the church.
For hobbies, Leona enjoyed painting with acrylics, line dancing, going to garage sales, and her love of dogs.
Funeral services for Leona D. Minor will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Donahoo officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.
Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time on Friday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
