Leola Marie Rowlinson, age 98, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2021. Leola was born to the late Dwight and Ruth Ella (Hecker) Wood in Marion County Ohio February 11, 1923. Leola was preceded in death by her husband Warren Rowlinson June 24, 1997; parents; son Kenneth Rowlinson, daughters-in-law, Wanda Rowlinson and Mary “Kit” Rowlinson; brother, Donald (Doris) Wood, sister, Gertrude Wood; 1 grandchild, and 2 great-grandchildren
Leola was survived by children, Larry (Natalie) Rowlinson, Richard Rowlinson, Roger Rowlinson, Connie (John) Walker, Rodney (Melanie) Rowlinson; daughter-in-law, Cathy Rowlinson as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Leola was a graduate of Meeker School in Meeker Ohio. Leola lived most of her life on a farm assisting with daily chores such as milking the cows or maintaining the lawn. She enjoyed canning, gardening, and mending. She and Warren did quite a bit of traveling during their time together. Leola was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Visiting hours are at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Thursday, August 12 from 11 AM-12 Noon. Services will follow the visitation at 12 Noon. Interment will be at Chapel Heights Cemetery in Marion Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association or the Kindred Hospice. Moments of remembrance may be left online.
