Lee Blake, 63, of Galion and formerly of Mansfield passed away into his Lord’s presence on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at home.
He was born October 30, 1957, in St. Paul, Minnesota, and was the son of James and Margy (Williamson) Blake. Lee is survived by his wife of 32 years, Veronica (Payne) Blake, whom he married on December 26, 1988.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and had many jobs over the years, including welding and truck driving. Lee attended the Grace Brethren Church in Galion. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Lee was a good husband and provider for his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Ellison Hunt of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Everette (Kristin) Hunt of Denham Springs, Louisiana; daughter Ellen (Brian) Auten of Galion; 13 grandchildren, Landon, Olivia, Sarai, Elias, Mara, Josiah, Wylan, Noah, Reuben, Benjamin, Adali, Jude and Ean; three sisters, Diane (Mike) Regnier of Dayton, Geri (Bill) Bennett of Little Rock, Arkansas and Lisa (Kelli) Bosch of Clarksville, Tennessee; brother, James Blake; mother-in-law, Lillie Payne of Plymouth, Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Douglas (Linda) Payne of Hilliard, Ohio; sister-in-law, Justine (Fred) Johnson of Plymouth, Wisconsin and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a sister, Linda Blake.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Grace Brethren Church, 1055 Winchester Road Galion, Ohio 44833 where a celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Auten officiating.
