Larry G. Sweigard, age 79, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 1:23 pm at his home in Upper Sandusky.
Larry was born in Bucyrus, Ohio, on June 14, 1942, to Woodrow and Odessa (Gilliland) Sweigard and they preceded him in death. He married to Jennifer Light on May 23, 1964, at First Christian Church in Bucyrus, Ohio, and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
Larry is also survived by his son, Kyle Sweigard of Upper Sandusky, and daughter Kris (Nathan) Glaser of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. 4 grandchildren, Dustin Sweigard, Braden, Anna, and Ella Glaser, and 1 great-grandson, Kaulder Sweigard. Along with a sister, Rosalie Rall of Upper Sandusky.
Larry was preceded in death by his brother in law James Rall.
Larry graduated from Upper Sandusky High School class of 1960 and retired after 16 years from Bill Sowers Tree Service in Sycamore. Before that he had worked for Stubb Brothers Auto Sales, Norfolk Southern, and U.S. Implement Company. Larry was also a member of the Farm Bureau.
He enjoyed following the OSU Buckeyes, going out to eat, and fishing, especially going to White Fish Falls, in Canada.
Visitations for Larry G. Sweigard will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
