It was a sweltering Wednesday in May 1970 in Mansfield, OH when Kim Logan entered the world. From a young age, it was clear that Kim was strong-willed and a free spirit. She met Jim, better as JB, as friends more than 30 years ago. Ten years later, what started as a friendship had turned into much more, and Kim knew she had found her knight in shining armor. Years passed with weekend trips to the lake for camping, spending time with friends, and riding Harleys all over the countryside, all fond memories for Kim and those who knew and loved her. Kim loved pink and black, but not as much as she loved her beautiful daughter, Alex and the two young ones who truly became her heart – her grandchildren Kennedie and Kamden.
On the afternoon of Friday, May 5, after valiantly battling ALS for four years, Kim succumbed, surrounded by her family and dear friends. The team at Mill Creek Nursing Home and her hospice providers were amazing and the family will always appreciate their sincere kindness. Kim was preceded in death by her father, John Logan. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, JB Brinson of almost 23 years; daughter, Alex Smith (Josh) and three grandchildren (Ayden, Kennedie, and Kamden); stepson Jimmy Brinson; stepdaughter Lauren Young (and her two daughters); mother Jean Logan; brother Scott Logan (Sean Balser); sisters-in-law Jamie Davis (James) and Jennifer Turner (Wayne); brother-in-law Jim Lind (Rachel); mother-in-law Shirley Lind; many nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.
In her final days, Kim asked that we remember her not with sadness or tears but rather with the laughter we’ve shared over the years. With love and fondness, we’ll remember Kim riding off into the eternal sunset on the back of a Harley, the sun shining on her face and the wind blowing her hair. Ride in peace, Kim and know that we love you.
The family will celebrate her life on what would have been her 53rd birthday on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Home, 218 S. Market St., Galion, OH 44833, from 1:00-4:00 pm.
