Kenneth Eugene Kincaid, Sr., 81, of Galion, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his home after battling cancer and dementia.
Kenneth was born in Oxford Township on March 4, 1937 to the late Daniel Clifford and Airetta May (Stoner) Kincaid. He married Mary Elizabeth (Howard) Kincaid on October 16, 1955 and she survives him.
Kenneth was a member of the Iberia Methodist Church where he attended for many years. He retired from the Former J.G. Clark where he worked for over 30 years. Ken’s pride and joy was his farm and his tractors. You always knew when Ken was around, as he was always whistling away, even up to his final days.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Mary Jo and David Elliott of Caledonia, Kenneth E. and Cheryl Kincaid, Jr. of Galion, David and Karen Kincaid of Galion, Jeffery and Rhonda Kincaid of Edison; 13 grandchildren, Crystal, Amy, Wendy, Sabrina, Summer, Lorie, Nathan, Samantha, Heather, Jesse, Shawn, Nicholas, Cassandra; five step-grandchildren, Chuck, Geddy, Trey, Michael, Daniel; 31 great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandson on the way; siblings, Fred “Bradley” and Carol Kincaid of Cardington, Clifford Kincaid of Cardington, Clarence “Shorty” and Ann Kincaid of Marion, John and Jane Kincaid of Marion, Lola Elzey of Mt. Gilead, Elsie Deckling of Cardington, Kathrine Reed of Marion; sister-in-law, Donna Kincaid of Mt. Gilead; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eldon Kincaid, Roger Kincaid; one infant sister, Zina May.
Friends may call Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm -8:00 pm at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion and from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Monday, July 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Galion, with Pastor Pat Fruth officiating. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia.
