Jonathon “Jon” Shank, 50, of Galion passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

He was born May 30, 1971, in Mansfield and was the son of the late Fred and Laura (Glass) Shank.

Jon wrestled and played football at Wooster High School and graduated in 1990. He was a self-employed contractor. Jon enjoyed art and was a very good cartoonist. He loved playing darts and was an avid action character collector.

Jon is survived by son, Tyler (Katie Greene) Shank of Kent, Ohio; daughter, Destiny Shank; two brothers, Fred Shank of Columbus and William Shank of Mansfield; numerous nephews, nieces, and step-siblings; former wife, Renae Shank-Wells of Shelby and his best friend, Joe Schokatz of Lexington.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
