John R. Fraizer, 77, of Galion passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at his home.
He was born May 6, 1946 in Galion and was the son of Gerald and Mildred (Rinehart) Fraizer. On January 31, 1970 John married Twila M. (Lauthers) Fraizer and she preceded him in death after 50 years of marriage on May 20, 2020.
He farmed for many years and spent his whole life serving farmers by working at the St. James elevator, Liberty Mill elevator and the Country Star elevator. In his younger years, John did a lot of bicycling and rode to Iowa and back during a two week vacation. He also rode his bike to Mohican and camped. In his later years, John enjoyed county fairs, tractor shows, Church festivals and riding around his farm on his side by side. He also loved his Red Man chewing tobacco.
John is survived by four sons, Brad (Amanda) Fraizer, Jamey Fraizer, Jeff Fraizer all of Galion and Jake (Dawn) Fraizer of Crestline; 10 grandchildren and four brothers, Sonny (Alice) Fraizer, Steve (Linda) Fraizer, Mike (Lynn) Fraizer and Tim (Beth) Fraizer.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ron Fraizer, Gary Fraizer and Paul Fraizer.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in Iberia Cemetery with Rev. Paul Walter officiating.
