John B. Swain, II, 62, of Galion and formerly of Monroe, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Monday, September 27, 2021.
He was born October 10, 1958, in Galion and was the son of John L. and Jo A. (Waldo) Swain.
John graduated from Galion High School in 1977 and attended Bowling Green State University. He was a home inspector and owned and operated Inspections with Directions in Monroe, Michigan. John loved Rock n Roll music and attending concerts and sporting events with friends and family.
John is survived by a son, John C. “Chris” (Michelle) Swain, III of Galion; grandson, Liam Christopher Swain; mother, Jo Swain of Galion; sister, Julie L. (fiancé Warren Uxley) Swain Standish of Galion; uncle, Kenneth (Helen) Swain of Galion; aunt Karen (Paul) Lightfoot of Galion and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, John L. Swain.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2 with Vicar Shawn Schneider and Pastor Jarrod Schaaf officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Celebrate Recovery, a non-profit for alcohol addiction recovery in care of the funeral home.
