JoEllen “Jody” Snyder age 92 of Upper Sandusky passed away Friday May 15, 2020 at 11:53pm surrounded by her family at the Inn at Westbrook. She was born August 18, 1927 in Columbus, OH to Thomas and Audrey (Wagner) Eisel. They preceded her in death.
Jody married Cletus D. Snyder on June 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 20, 1998. Surviving are her two sons Mike Snyder of Louisville, KY, Kevin Snyder of Temple, TX, Molly Shenefield of Marion, OH, Megan Snyder of Sycamore, OH, five grandchildren Lindsay Morgan Snyder, Johonna Kate Rowe, Lindsay Marie Rocco, Joshua Allen Shenefield, Richard Thomas Moore, and five great grandchildren.
Jody graduated from Holy Family in Columbus and was a homemaker. She was an active member at Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church and was a representative member of the Columbus Diocese. She volunteered at Wyandot Memorial and other hospitals. Jody enjoyed gardening, wine making, playing the piano and singing. She was an avid reader and played crossword puzzles. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and she will be missed by all.
Visitation will be held from 10am to 10:45am on Thursday May 21, 2020 at Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will start at 11am at the church with Father Conrad Sutter OFM Conv. officiating. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
