Joe Campbell will be remembered as a kind man and a friend to everyone he met. His family was always a priority in his life and would always be ready to help when asked. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Joseph A. Campbell, 57, of Galion passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

He was born July 20, 1965, in Bucyrus and was the son of the late Jack A. and Hazel (Stepp) Campbell. Joe is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda L. (Curtis) Campbell whom he married on November 26, 1989.

Joseph graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1983 and served his country in the United States Army Reserve. He co-owned Kentucky Fried Chicken in Galion for many years. Joe was a life member of AMVETS Polk Township Post 1979 of Galion. He enjoyed remote control cars, and working in his woodshop where he could build or fix just about anything. Joe loved camping and spending time with family and friends. He often said, “I have always believed that if I am a good person and treat people kindly and do the right thing, I will be received with favor.”

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Nicholas Campbell of Galion; daughter, Sarah (Jason) Adolphus of Galion; two sisters, Jackie Biederman of Crestline and Jan (Lloyd) Bilsing of Galion and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Additional calling hours will start at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 at Snyder Funeral Home and continue until the time funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
