Jody L. Sherman-Roberts, 57, of Galion passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.
Born July 20, 1960 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Darrell Sherman and Peg Sherman of Galion.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1978 and worked at the former PECO in Galion, Geauga Plastics in Crestline and the last 14 years at Cardington Yutaka Technologies. Jody enjoyed listening to music, gardening, cooking and going to the races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. She was a “social butterfly’ easily making friends with everyone.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by daughter Amber Furr of Galion; brother Todd (Melba) Sherman of McKinney, Texas and nephew Brandon Sherman of McKinney, Texas.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by infant son Derrick; paternal grandparents Chester and Marie Sherman and maternal grandparents Albert and Nellie Yuhas.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. A graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Galion with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
