Jodi L. Ricker, 63, of Galion passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 after a sudden illness.

She was born October 17, 1958 in Galion and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Peggy (Dairy) McElhatten. Jodi is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bill Ricker whom she married on September 12, 1982.

She graduated from Galion High School and continued her education at North Central Tech where she obtained a degree as a medical transcriptionist. Jodi worked several years as a medical transcriptionist, also for the former Peabody Galion in parts sales and for Attorney Deb Garverick for several years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline. Jodi enjoyed letter boxing and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and her dogs, especially going to dog shows and completing the agility courses with them.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Shalana (Jeremy) Makeever of Galion and Heather (David) Roundtree of Perry, Florida; sons, Bill Jr. (Wendy) Ricker and Ed Ricker all of Galion; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister , Sheryl (David) Knipp of Mt. Gilead and two brothers, Phil (Diane) McElhatten of Marengo and Eric (Susan) McElhatten of Delaware, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline.
