Joan M. Sowers, 83, of Galion passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Altercare of Bucyrus.
She was born August 24, 1938 in Bucyrus and was the daughter of George R. and Thelma E. (Pennsinger) Beach. Joan married Harold L. Sowers in 1982 and he preceded her in death in 2006.
She graduated from Galion High School in 1956 and was a homemaker. Joan previously attended the Crossway Assembly of God in Galion. She enjoyed raising and showing Iris, reading, dancing and gambling, (especially slots).
Joan is survived by her three children, Billie (Terry) Grove of Upper Sandusky, GyAnn (Tim) Hamrick of Newark and Jeffery Grove of Upper Sandusky; several grandchildren including Rob (Tracy) McKee, Ashlynn (Billy) Mayhew, Misty Almond and Levi Grove; several great-grandchildren including Brittany (Cordell) West and a brother, Raymond (Evelyn) Beach of Loudonville.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L.Grove; daughter, Ronell M. Kruger and two grandsons, Dustin and Casey Grove.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2022 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833.
