Jim Keller, 60, of Galion passed away after an extended illness Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Kobacker House in Columbus.

Born October 14, 1962 in Galion, he was the son of Richard and Shirley (Fisher) Keller.  He married Connie (McKinley) Keller on September 24, 1988 and they enjoyed 34 years together.

He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1981. Jim worked for the Timken Company in Bucyrus. He was a thespian in high school and was a starting pitcher for the Galion Tigers baseball team. Jim loved coaching and attending his son’s baseball games and contributing to the youth baseball program. He was a life-long Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan and in his spare time restored and collected Lionel trains.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Scott (Ashley) Keller of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Joshua Keller of Cleveland, Ohio; grandson Myles Keller and sister Jan Nickels of Aurora, Illinois.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a lovely granddaughter Zoey Keller.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at The Venue by Cake and Icing, 129 Harding Way East, Galion, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
