Jesse Lawrence Phillips Hornak, was called home by the Lord on November 4th, 2021 due to an unfortunate, fatal, two-vehicle accident. Jesse was born on January 14, 1998, in Marion General Hospital in Ohio. He attended and was baptized in Scioto United Methodist Church, was raised in Bucyrus, OH, and later became a resident of Columbus.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father George Gary Hornak; stepfather Larry Patton; paternal grandparents John and Mildred Hornak; maternal grandfathers Lawrence Higginbotham and John McFarland; and brother Gary Alan Hornak.
Jesse is survived by his mother Danielle Phillips Patton (Richard Wood); stepmother Mary Jane Hornak; paternal grandmothers Deborah McFarland and Nancy Higginbotham; brothers John George Hornak, Joshua Patton, and Devin Trent; step sisters Tammy Patton and Michelle Patton; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jesse shared a special, unconditional love and bond with his grandmother Debbie since the day he was born. Jesse also had some lifetime friends, Dalton Dowell, Marino Price, Madison French, and April Price. Niko, Jesse’s best friend who is a boxer/pitbull brought him so much joy and happiness.
Jesse was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and cherished going to watch the games with his grandparents. He attended his first game when he was four. One of his favorite pastimes was watching the WWE, especially “The Rock” whom he imitated with his very own microphone. He also was an aggressive MMA fighter for a few years. Jesse worked at MMM Marketing LLC selling cheaper energy for almost a year. He loved his job.
Jesse enjoyed being a part of 4-H where he won several awards and took his projects to the Ohio State Fair. He also enjoyed attending the races in Attica, Norwalk, and Mid-Ohio. Jesse loved spending the summer with his mother, brother, and other family members at cedar point. He also loved to camp. Jesse was also in a junior bowling league for years. He attended Wynford and Bucyrus High School.
Jesse had a great love for his little brother Josh, whom he missed and worried about after leaving Bucyrus. He will be greatly missed as he did bring lots of love to many people.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society. The family will be celebrating his life following the funeral service at the Bucyrus Masonic Lodge, 1224 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus.
