Jerry R. Waters, 76, of Richwood and formerly of Galion, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at his residence.
Born February 26, 1945, in Bluefield, Virginia, he was the son of Everrett and Desda (Young) Waters. He married Susan Michelle (Ransom) Waters on February 2, 1979, and she survives.
He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1963. Jerry was a bus driver for the Mt. Gilead Schools and worked maintenance at the Galion YMCA. He previously owned Quality Plus Construction and lastly drove for Bell Equipment. Jerry was a lifetime member of Galion Moose 303 and a member of Galion Elks Lodge 1191. He enjoyed golf and family cruises, tinkering in the garage, and helping friends and neighbors. Jerry especially loved spending time with family, and with his dog, Bruno.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Gretchen Barth of Ostrander, son Aaron (Jackie) Waters of Cardington, granddaughters Emily (Chris) Price and Sarah Waters, and sister Joeann Standley of Galion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Everrett Waters, Jr., and sister Kathleen Stillwell.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Cramer Community Center, 3612 Township Road 49, Iberia, Ohio 43325,
