Jeff Slone, 66, of Mt. Gilead passed away August 24, 2023 at home after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by his family.
Born July 14, 1957 in Mansfield, he was the son of Clarence and Shirley (Rutan) Slone. He married Carla S. (Lillo) Slone on September 19, 1975 and she survives.
Jeff worked at Sims Fertilizer, HPM, ConAgra and retired from Therm-O-Disc. He enjoyed fishing, boating, music, NASCAR and mowing his yard.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jeffrey R. (Teneshea Mills) Slone of Fairborn, Jamie A. (Amie Lenhart) Slone of Delaware and Joseph M. (Misty) Slone of Galion; grandchildren, Addison (Auston), Jaden and Ava; four brothers, Dale Slone of Douglas, Ga,, Perry (Cathy) Slone and Alvada, Carl Slone of Bucyrus and Wesley (Betty) Slone of Greenwich.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Brenda Slone.
At his request no services will be held.
