Jeff A. Wentz age 65 of Wharton died Thurs. Feb. 3, 2022 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1956 in Kenton to the late Louie D. & Eleanor M. (Baker) Wentz.
He is survived by his daughter Stacey (Joseph Dean) Wentz, Carey, son Jesse (Noel) Wentz, Wharton, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his fiance Patty Gault, Wharton and her children and many grandchildren, sisters Chris Boden, Wharton, Cindy (Eric) Wright, Carey. Mr. Wentz was preceded in death by a brother-in-law William Boden.
Jeff was the owner/operator of the former Wentz Trucking & Excavating. He worked for the former Walton Ag, Wharton, Hensel Ready Mix, Phillips Excavating, K & W Farms, and Richland Twp. He served on the Wharton Volunteer Fire Dept., and was a past member of the Wyandot County Fair Board. Jeff was a proud conservative Republican and President Trump supporter. He enjoyed fishing, coffee, cigarettes, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in Wharton Richland Union Cemetery, Wharton at 12:30PM Tue. Feb. 8, 2022 with Pastor Dennis Livingston officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30AM-12:00PM Tue.
