Janice M. Britt, 82, of Galion passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Signature HealthCARE of Galion.
She was born November 9, 1935 in Galion and was the daughter of Vern and Gladys (Levings) Carpenter. On November 7, 1953 she married Gary T. Britt and they were married nearly 54 years until his passing on November 5, 2007.
Janice was a 1953 graduate of Galion High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion. She enjoyed ceramics and crocheting and spending time with her family.
Janice is survived by son Mark (Patricia Beck) Britt; daughter Renea (Steven) Kennedy all of Galion; two grandsons Shawn (Jodi) Britt of Galion and Kevin (Sophia) Britt of Oregon; five great-grandchildren Courtney, Brandon, Dylan, Talon and Tianna Britt; brother Richard (Chris) Carpenter of Galion and a sister-in-law Ruth Ann Carpenter of Galion and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Brian Britt; grandson Zachary Payne and a brother William Carpenter.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 with Father Paul Fahrbach officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
