Janet E. Lybarger-Smith, 64, of Galion passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Galion Pointe.

She was born March 30, 1955 in Crestline and was the daughter of Jake and Opal Mae (Cassidy) Rhoden. Janet is survived by her husband James R. “Lee” Smith, Jr., whom she married on September 22, 2018.

Janet was raised in Kentucky and lived there for many years, working as a cook at several restaurants. She moved back to the area and worked at Dollar General in Galion. Janet attended the Apostolic Pentecostal House of Prayer in Mansfield. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter Dana Kouns of Fredericktown; sons William Holbert and John (Teresa) Holbert all of Galion; 11 grandchildren Alexis and Kolten Kouns, Ruth Ann Holbert, Cristy Booth, Joshua Fife, Jerry Harper, Jr., Keri Harper, Anthony, Lee Roy, Richard and Jonathan Holbert; numerous great-grandchildren and a sister Diane Bertram of Ironton, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Billie Colberly and two brothers Dee and Randy Colberly.

There will be a memorial service at the Apostolic Pentecostal House of Prayer in Mansfield at a later date.
