Janet Lee Cornelius, 82, of Galion passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at her home with her loving husband Larry by her side.
Janet was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 30, 1942, to the late Carl and Lillian (Krause) Romatz. On March 19, 1988, she would marry Larry Cornelius and they would share 36 years of loving marriage, Larry survives in Galion.
Janet was a hardworking individual, dedicating her working years to North Electric and QTI.
She held family as her top priority, finding immense joy in her loved ones. Her world revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, constantly showing her love through thoughtful gifts and caring gestures. Janet was a creative soul, finding solace in making jewelry and crocheting. She adored shopping for shoes and had a soft spot for all her pets.
A lover of nature, Janet cherished her trips to the Michigan Upper Peninsula, finding peace in its serene beauty to which she will one day return to.
In addition to her husband Larry, Janet’s memories will be cherished by her children: Kayleen (Todd I) Brown of Galion, Jeffrey (Judy) Brown of Mansfield, and Angie (Brian) Pearce of Mount Gilead; grandchildren: Terra (Justin) Richardson of Arlington, Ashley Brown of Mansfield, Amanda Brown of Mansfield, Alyssa (Issac) Trader of Grove City, and Sarah Dudley of Akron; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Lillian Romatz, as well as her grandson, Todd Brown II.
