James P. “Jamie” Bell, 50, of Galion passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Avita Galion Hospital Emergency Room.
Born July 24, 1973 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio he was the son of the late Tom Bell and Diane Williams Bell who survives in Galion.
He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1991. Jamie was a member of First Lutheran Church in Galion, former member of the Boots and Saddles 4H club and was a former Boy Scout. He was a train collector and also collected Harry Potter and Star Wars memorabilia, enjoyed science fiction movies, cooking and baking and loved animals, especially his last dog Fawkes,
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Trish (David) McDonald and Susan Bell; two nieces, Katie and Emily McDonald, all of Galion; cousins, Chuck Bauer of Evansville, In., Chris Bauer of Evansville, In. and C.J. (Kristi) Bauer of Chicago, Il.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society Serving Crawford County or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in care of the funeral home.
