James C. Frederick, 79, of Crestline, died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
Jim was born in Ontario, OH on January 19, 1938 to the late Bowman and Opal (Brown) Frederick. He married Pok Tok An on September 10, 1974 and she survives him.
Jim was proud of his 20 year military career in the U.S. Army. He served during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army, he worked as a mail carrier with the U.S. Post Office until his retirement in 2002.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, James Frederick, Allen Frederick, and Gina Somner; his four grandchildren; his one great-granddaughter; his brother, Fred Frederick of Crestline; his sister, Joyce Ramey of Shelby; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Steve, Odell, Don, Ben and Billie Frederick.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline where military honors will be given by the U.S. Army and the Galion/Crestline Joint Military Burial Detail.
