Jake D. Watkins, 19, of Galion passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019.
He was born September 20, 2000 in Hickory, North Carolina and was the son of Michael and Denise (Robinson) Watkins.
Jake graduated from Galion High School in 2018. In high school, he played baseball was known as “flashlight” by his fellow football players. Jake attended Pioneer JVS and took Exercise Science classes. He was currently working at S & R Refuse and enjoyed working out and mixed-martial arts fighting. Jake will be remembered for his good heart and bright smile.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Denise Watkins of Galion; girlfriend Lindzi Moore of Galion; infant daughter Charlee Ann Watkins; sister Cailyn Watkins of Galion; brothers Aaron (Cherokee) Watkins of Galion and Evan Watkins of Galion; Paternal Grandmother Joni (Douglas) Roberts of Mansfield; Paternal Grandfather Michael Watkins of Galion; Maternal Grandmother Ada Robinson of Maiden, North Carolina; uncles Nick Watkins of Galion and Chris Robinson of Maiden, North Carolina; special friends Tanner Chrisman, Nick Cook, Hunter Sprague and Tristan Schroeder and many extended family.
Jake is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather Dennis Robinson.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St. Galion, Ohio 44833 where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday following calling hours with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Additionally there will be a Celebration of Life from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at the VFW Post 4329, 229 South Market St. Galion, Ohio.
