Jack A. Dauchenbaugh, 78, passed away on April 17, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Born September 28, 1943 in Bucyrus he was the son of George and Virginia (Greenich) Dauchenbaugh.  Jack married the love of his life Mary Alice (Herndon) Dauchenbauch, on November 20, 1994 and she preceded him in death.

Jack retired form Elliott Machine Works in Galion after 41 years of service, to which he gained many loyal friends.  He enjoyed fishing, euchre, bingo, bowling, dancing and going to auctions. He was a member of Galion Moose Lodge 303.  Jack was a great friend to many and never met a stranger. He was quite the jokester and loved picking on his grandkids. He was a big Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State football fan.

He is survived by sons, William (Lisa) Dauchenbaugh of Iowa and Brian (Jackie) Dauchenbaugh of Galion; step-children, Cindy (James) Stamper and Jeff (Millie) Dauchenbaugh all of Bucyrus; his granddaughter who he raised as his own daughter, Trista (fiancée Terry Howard) Dauchenbaugh of Galion; grandchildren, Sara (Ivan), Kyle (Kim), Michelle, Megan (Scott), Jachob, Alecia and Jake; brother-in-law Rick Johnson of Galion and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jesse Dauchenbaugh; five brothers, Richard, Daniel, Duke, Gene and David Dauchenbaugh and three sisters, Anna Cuffman, Lois Johnston and Helen Stamper.

Following his wishes, no services will be held at this time and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.

A special thank you to a few wonderful friends, including David & Virginia Amick, Rick St. Clair, Jim Parker and Chuck Salisbury who stayed by his side thru the years.
