J. Leroy Clark age 89, of rural Carey died at Westbrook Assisted Living, Upper Sandusky on Sat. Sept. 21. 2019.
He was born July 22, 1930 in Wyandot Co., OH to the late Wm. Joseph and Lena G. (Bell) Clark. He married Waneta J. Dewey on May 20, 1950, she survives in rural Carey. He is survived by daughters Kay (Brad) Allen, Carey, Louise (John) Lortz, Upper Sandusky and a son Dennis (Carol) Clark, Carey.
Grandchildren Wendy Daugherty, Allan Lortz, Christina Kisseberth, Kari Kessler, Heidi Brooks, Josiah Clark and Karen Wortham, 12 great grandchildren and one on the way, brothers Richard (Sue Ann) Clark, Upper Sandusky, Bill (Pam) Clark, Upper Sandusky, sisters Betty Chester, Ellinger, TX and Sharon (Steve) Miller, Upper Sandusky.
He was a 1949 graduate of Carey High School.
Mr. Clark Retired in 1997 as a foreman from National Lime and Stone Co. after 50 years of employment. He was also a retired small grain and livestock farmer.
His hobbies were boating, fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and jet skis, he enjoyed music, singing karaoke, dancing, playing cards and bowling. He could be called Mr. fix it and enjoyed cutting firewood. He was an honest hard-working man always helping family and friends.
Leroy was a man who walked his faith, he established and appreciated the relationships with family, neighbors and friends. He was the driving force behind many family Christmas gatherings.
Funeral services will be held on Thurs. Sept. 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Cynthia Morrison officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Wed. Sept. 25, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Bringman Clark Funeral Home.
