Helen Phillips, 93, passed away October 28, 2024 at Galion Pointe. She was born February 21, 1931 in Caledonia, OH to Charles and Edna (Hatcher) Bayles. She married Ernest H. “Ernie” Phillips on August 28, 1948.
She enjoyed canning and attending to her garden, as well as her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband Ernie; parents; sister, Dorothy Bayles and brother, Warren Bayles.
She leaves behind her daughters: Ruth Crabaugh (Jim) of Bucyrus, and Brenda Miller (Bob) of Mt. Gilead; son, Paul Phillips of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren: Jeff Karl (Deb), Kristi Samples (Michael), Jennifer Greene (Joe), Justin Miller, Levi Miller, Cody Miller (Emily), Cassandra Cheney, Falynn Phillips, and Chelsy Phillips; 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 with services to begin at 1:00 p.m. with Jerusha Walker officiating. Burial to follow at Iberia cemetery.
