Helen C. Beaty, 95, of Galion passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at home.
Born March 11, 1928 in Crossville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Barry and Ethel (Potter) Creason. She married William H. Beaty, Sr. on October 18, 1947 and he preceded her on June 29, 1995.
She was a graduate of Clarkrange High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1948 and worked at the former North Electric in Galion for 28 years. Helen was a member of the Galion First Presbyterian Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping, sewing and loved cooking, especially making pies.
She is survived by grandchildren, Alex W. (Tina) Beaty, Derek (Shelly) Beaty, Richard Lee, Jr. (Misty) Beaty, Angie M. (Joshua Burton) Beaty and Skylar Beaty; step grandchildren, Laura (Kevin) Fruchey, Jeremy Conant, Misty (Albert King) Conant, Teresa (Marc) Williams and Kendra (Anthony Estep) Beaty; 21 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; sister Ruby Rooker and daughters-in-law, Shirley Fissell, Valerie Wright and Patricia Beaty.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sons, Richard L. Beaty, William H. Beaty, Jr. and Terry W. Beaty; great great granddaughter Haylee Johnson; sisters, Eula Schubert and Jean Largent, brothers, Norman H. Creason, Everett Creason and Harold Creason and daughter-in-law Phyllis Beaty,
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Gary Proietti officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
