Harry H. Dowell, 90, Galion, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at his home after a short illness.

Harry was born in Straight Creek, KY on May 30, 1927 to the late Jim Dowell and Geneva (Johnson) Inman.  He married Cordie (Fuson) Dowell on March 8, 1950 and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2016.

Harry worked at Joseph Manufacturing in Crestline making ice cream machines.  He loved spending time with his family.  Harry enjoyed his flowers, gardening, watching western movies, and listening to country music.

Harry is survived by his daughters; Mary Hoffer, Crestline, Tina Mowery, Savannah, GA, Candy and Joseph Lykins, Crestline, nine grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, brothers; Charlie and Joyce Inman, Crestline, Tippy and Leona Inman, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughters; Terri Stidham, and Debbie Marion, grandson; Gary Courtney, brother; Scotty Inman and infant sister; Ruth Faye Dowell.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Galion, with Pastor Bill Lamb officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
