Glenn B. Sprague, 73, of rural Galion passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at home.
Born December 30, 1944 in Cleveland, he was the son of the late Ray and Agnes (Tough) Sprague. He married his high school sweetheart Linda L. (Swanger) Sprague on August 13, 1966 and they enjoyed 52 years together.
He was a graduate of New London High School in 1962 and received his Bachelors and Master Degrees of Education from Bowling Green State University. Glenn taught Jr. High history in Norwalk, and became Assistant Principal at Norwalk High School, later High School Principal at Monroeville. He moved to the area to become Morrow County’s Assistant Superintendent and retired as Superintendent of Northmor Schools.
Glenn enjoyed traveling especially to Disney World. He owned an antique store and liked to work Thomas’s Auction in Fredericktown on Wednesday nights. He loved his grandchildren who called him “PAPA.”
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Jason (Rhonda) Sprague of Groveport and Jennifer (Rob) Crase of Canal Winchester; grandchildren Hannah and Silas Crace, and Claire and Jack Sprague.
Following Glenn’s wishes there will be no formal services. The family would like to thank HomeCare Matters Hospice for their loving care of Glenn.
