Glen Gailey Sr.,87, of North Robinson passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus after a two week illness.

Born July 29, 1936 in Harlan, Kentucky, he was the son of Hobert and Mary (Noe) Gailey  He married Shirley Jeanene (Surber) Gailey on December 26, 1956 and she preceded him on December 3, 2008. Glen then  married Marjorie (Baldridge) Gailey on December 28, 2013 and she survives.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Blackwood. He was an assembler for 37 years at Komatsu in Galion, retiring in 1998. Glen attended Walker Lake Baptist Church in Mansfield. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, wintering in Florida and traveled to all lower 48 states. Glen liked sporting events, especially Kentucky Wildcats basketball and could fix anything car related.

He is survived by children Glen “Pete” Jr. (Lori) Gailey of Lexington, Deborah (Jeff) Dawson of Galion and Tammy (Jeff) Crabtree of Galion; grandchildren, Justin (Jen) Gailey, Nathan (Natalie) Gailey, Lyndsee (Kevin) Spangler, Annie (Matt) Trammel,  Tyler Dawson, Shawn and Daniel Rachel and great-grandchildren, Abraham, Ella, Mackenzie and Elijah Trammel,  Kayden and Sylas Spangler and Felicity, Aubriena, Isaiah, Noah, Autumn, Jude, Laila, Harper and Hemley Gailey.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Garrett and Arnold Gailey and sister Jean Tolle.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Walker Lake Baptist Church, 1602 Walker Lake Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44903 where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Jack Williams officiating.
