Garnie E. Fuller, 93, of rural Galion passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at home.

Born July 15, 1930 in Haysi, Virginia, he was the son of Noah and Zerelda “Nan” (Owens) Fuller. He married Rena (Yates) Fuller on May 18, 1956 and they enjoyed 67 years together.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Garnie worked for Galion Plating for 25 years and later was a chrome plater at Carter Machine in Galion for 15 years.  He enjoyed gardening and was devoted to his family, especially loving spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Garnie was a faithful member of the Owl Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Loretta (Larry) Saunders of Galion and Etta (George) Stover of Parrish, Florida; grandchildren, Daniel (Brittany) Stover, Shaun Damron, Jayson (Heather) Stover, Bryan (Jessica) Damron and Brandon (Shannon) Stover, step-grandchildren, Brian  Saunders, Dustin (Brandi) Saunders and Ashley (Greg Shannon) Lee; great grandchildren, Ryan, Brendan, Kallie, Savannah, Wyatt, Noah, Adelynn, Amelia, Kahleb, Jaxon, Amelia, Lauren and Carter and great great grandchildren, Adelynn, Paityn and Kasen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 15 with Elder Jack Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.

Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
