Frank P. Bishop, 84, of Galion passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Woodside Village Care Center in Mt. Gilead.

Born April 14, 1933 in Crestline, he was the son of Oliver E. and Eva May (Gantzler) Bishop. He married Lucile M. (Somerlot) Bishop on February 21, 1958 and she preceded him on April 23, 2016.

He worked at Carter Machine in Galion for over 25 years and was a member of the former Christ Church in Galion. Frank proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed farming, gardening, flowers, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by son Jerry (Lorie Kline) Bishop of Galion; grandchildren Amber Bishop of Johnsville, Matt (Jenni) Bishop of Galion, Brian (Amy) Bishop of Lewis Center, William (Emily) Malone of Lumberton, North Carolina and Nichole (Edward) Johnson of Galion; great grandchildren Lyla, Landon, Logan Bishop, Omar, Trinity, Harmony Cooley all of Galion, Bobby Singh of Johnsville, Bennett Bishop of Lewis Center, and Ezekial, Bailey, Austin, Natilee, Sebastian, Ayrianna all of Lumberton, North Carolina; brother Bob (Ann) Bishop of Galion; sister Janice Sullivan of Florida and sister-in-law Shirley Bishop of Florida.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by daughter Judy Whitt; four brothers and a sister.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 with Pastor Pat Fruth officiating. Burial with follow at Iberia Cemetery.

Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
