Floyd “Ed” Tucker, 88, of Galion passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 surrounded by his family at home.
He was born in Galion and was the son of Floyd C. and Nellie (Horton) Tucker. Floyd is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marilyn (Reindl) Tucker whom he married on February 28, 1952.
He graduated from Galion High School in 1952 and worked 35 years and retired from Timken in Bucyrus. Floyd was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion and the B.P. O. Elks Galion Lodge 1191. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed stock car racing, farming and playing cards with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Cynthia Cellar, Cathy (Allen) James, Craig Tucker, Carrie (Dennis) TenEyck and Calynn Tucker all of Galion; four grandchildren, Christopher James, Brandon Cellar, Derek TenEyck and Conor TenEyck; four great-grandchildren, Joseph James, Christina Freeman, Julie Rawlins and Brennan Archer and seven great great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Jim, Don and Mike Tucker and a sister, Pat Kocsovsky.
Following his wishes, there will be no formal service held.
