Florence J. Warner, 95, of Galion passed away peacefully Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the home of her granddaughter in Mansfield.
Born September 22, 1928 in Toledo, she was the daughter of John K. and Elizabeth Ruth (Davis) Murphy. She married Richard A. Warner on June 16, 1951 and he preceded her on July 31, 1998.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Crestline. Her faith was very important to her and she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and ministering in nursing homes. Florence was a waitress in her early years and later groomed dogs. She liked antique collecting and crafts, especially painting.
She is survived by four children, Lyle (Marlene) Snow of Arizona, Steve (Cindy) Francisko of Illinois, Terry (Maxine) Warner of Bucyrus and Pam Sitz of North Carolina; twelve grandchildren, Crystal (Brett) Snow-Murphy, Chad (Lynn) Snow, Steve Jr. (Brenna) Francisko, Jenny Lee, Traci (Scott) Campbell, Tessa (Eric) Pekarcik, Bill (Andrea) Sitz, Heather (Joe) Little, Rob (Emily) Sitz, Jennifer (Michael) Karst, Julie (Nate) Fogle and Jill (Joe) Hauler; many great grandchildren including Desirae and Caleb Branam; four sisters, Delores McDonald, Wanda Seipp, Beulah Janney and Grace Arbise and special friends, Joe and Thelma Taylor and Rob and Stephanie Green.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by daughter Joy Hall, grandson Zachary Warner; brothers, Jack, Ron and Kenneth Murphy and sisters, Doris Murphy and Sharon Stratton.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Additional calling will be held at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.
