Eva Mae Kendall, 93, of Galion went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 30, 2022 at home while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 22, 1929 in Jere, West Virgina and was the daughter of Virtus Taft and Eva (Williams) Everett. Eva married Raymond Ross Kendall on July 3, 1948 and he preceded her in death after 73 years of marriage on December 5, 2021.

Eva graduated from the University Rural High School of West Virginia University with honors. She worked at the former A&P, Neffs and Charlies Market in Galion. Her faith was the most important part of Eva’s life. She was a member of the Galion First Church of the Nazarene (Atwood St.) where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. Eva was a great cake baker and decorator and enjoyed playing cards and going out to dinner with various close friends. She and Ross wintered in Florida for over 30 years together.

Eva is survived by daughters, Paulette Jones of Galion and Marilyn (Craig) Miley of Galion; son, Timothy (Shirley) Kendall of Galion; daughter-in-law, Barbara Ann Kendall of Galion; six grandchildren, Sabrina (James) Godwin, Jennifer (Elizabeth) Justice, Nicole (Keith) Miley, Chad (Ceileata) Kendall, Ashley (Dustin) Bryant and Clayton (Alexis) Kendall; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Varnes of Galion.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Ross Kendall; a daughter, Jeanette Kendall and an infant son.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Real Life Nazarene, 777 Fairview Ave. Galion, Ohio 44833 where a celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 6 with Pastor Rick McCartney officiating.
