Ethel A. Vogelsang, 88, of Galion passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Ohio Health Marion.
Born October 4, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, she was the daughter of Harold A. and Bessie M. (Frye) Woods. She married Thomas E. Vogelsang on May 2, 1970 and they enjoyed 53 years together.
She was a store keeper at HPM for 24 years. Ethel was a member of the Galion Golden Age Center and enjoyed quilting with friends, baking and bowling. She liked to do word search books and played Cards in her euchre club once a month.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Donna (Ralph Lowe) Knowlton of Mansfield, Danny Vogelsang of Marion, Karen Lewis of Lancaster, Vicki (Joseph) Mitchell of Kenton, Gregory (Sandy) Vogelsang of Columbus and Denise Vogelsang of Lancaster; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Juanita Woods of Tennessee.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sons, Daniel and Jeffrey Robbins and Jeffrey Righter; daughter, Cheryl Robbins; brothers, Robert and Art Woods and sister, Marie Yocum.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, MAY 2, 2024 at the Galion Golden Age Center, 301 South Market, Galion, Ohio 44833. Time of celebration will be announced at a later date.
