Elsie Ellen Randolph-Sheets, 87, of Galion, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Elsie was born in Swords Creek, Virginia on May 14, 1931 to the late Arthur and Gracie (Pinion) Rose. On October 8, 1953 she married Harold Randolph Sr. who preceded her in death on September 14, 2001. She married John E. Sheets on August 25, 2005 and he survives her.
Elsie worked at North Electric Company as a Tester/Inspector for 30 years. Elsie would show off her talent by all the beautiful crocheting and quilt laying that she loved to do. She loved listening to Blue Grass Music (sound of Dobro) as often as possible. Elsie had a green thumb when it came to gardening, everything she touched turned into something beautiful. Elsie also enjoyed cooking and baking for all her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jackie (Alicia) Randolph of Mansfield, Harold (Peggy) Randolph of Galion, Rodney (Whitney) Randolph of Marion, Alan (Jenice Garnder) Randolph of Galion; step-daughter, Ginger Segura of Lake Placid, Florida; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Lori Hendrickson of Shiloh, Ruby Farmer of Bucyrus, Anna Pearl McGlothlin of Swords Creek, Virginia, Charlotte Vance of Honaker, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by sons, Douglas Randolph and Audie Randolph; brothers, Harley Rose, Ellis Rose, Carl Rose, Clyde Rose; and sisters, Gay VanDorn and Polly Plaster.
Friends may call Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Galion, with Pastor Richard McCartney officiating. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia.
