Elizabeth “June Bug” Hargis passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Heartland of Bucyrus. She was born in Jackson County, TN on November 7, 1944, to the late Donald L. and Mattie Jewel (Stout) Hargis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her uncle Ted Hines and niece LaChelle Hines Pfeifer.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Bucyrus High School and lived most of her life in Bucyrus. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing bingo, T.V. shows Gunsmoke, Bananza, and Reba. Her favorite singer and actor was “Elvis” and she loved orange drinks and strawberry Shakes. Most of all Elizabeth cherished being with her family and get-togethers. Elizabeth always remembered everyone’s birthdays.
June is survived by one brother Louie and his wife Jerri Hargis; two sisters Ruby Hoose and Shirley Hargis Hines Pfleiderer and her husband Fred; four nephews, Craig Hargis, Tony Gibson, of Bucyrus and Jeff (Joleen) Hargis and Jason Hargis; two nieces Monica (Greg) Trumpler and Ginny (Dave) Rankin as well as many great-nephews and nieces. Her two special cousins are Willie Bell Addison and Debbie Mayes.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 24, 2021, in Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Mike Corwin officiating. Memories are encouraged to be shared and online condolences may be left at munzpirnstill.com
